We are still planning our August 2-3 UKC Agility trial in Amana
, Iowa . Our show mats were located in a storage garage that was
not flooded and equipment will be repaired or borrowed from
other clubs. Please come to our August trial to help us raise
money for our recovery. Premiums available
here.
Thanks to everyone who has helped us over the last few weeks. We
have had quite a few volunteers show up to help us clean or do
other tasks.
Your help is much appreciated!
The building is in the process of being repaired. The landlord
had to cut back all the drywall and remove insulation. He has a
contractor working in the building to make repairs and we are
planning to move back in August. Once we are back in the
building we will resume classes.
Please watch our website for an update class schedule. If
you were enrolled in a class and need information feel free to
contact us. Obedience questions should go to Peggy Freeburg at
molegatoo@mchsi.com and agility classes should
contact ebgilly@mchsi.com.
We did lose quite a bit in the flood. Click
here for some photos. Due to contamination
concerns we will be replacing all our flooring mats. We are also
replacing any wooden equipment that came in contact with the
flood waters- this includes A-frame wood, wooden tables, ring
gates and many other items.
As you can tell we have quite an expensive undertaking ahead. We
have decided to set up a recovery fund to help us with the
expenses. If you would like to donate please send money to
4rk9s- c/o Johnette Ulch treasurer, 1294 78th Street Trail,
Belle Plaine, IA 52208.
Please continue to watch our website for more info on the flood
recovery!
